Local moves should be quick and affordable — but in practice, they often aren't. Trucks arrive late. The wrong vehicle size turns up. Prices get negotiated on moving day when you have no other option. We don't work that way.
For local moves in any city we serve, we quote a fixed price up front, allocate the right vehicle size (tempo, 14-footer, or bigger), and send a trained crew on the scheduled day. Whether it's a studio apartment shifting across a neighbourhood, or a 3 BHK move across town, the process stays the same.
Our local moving crews know the cities they operate in — the narrow lanes, the buildings without lifts, the traffic patterns, the best times to move. This local knowledge means fewer surprises on moving day and faster completion times.
How our local moving process works
Step 1 — Tell us what you're moving
Fill our form, call us, or send a WhatsApp message with the basics: what you're moving (a few items or a full home), your current address, your destination address, and your preferred date and time slot. We'll get back to you within 30 minutes with a clear, fixed quote.
For larger local moves (2 BHK and above), we may schedule a quick video survey to accurately assess the inventory and recommend the right vehicle size and crew strength.
Step 2 — Confirm and schedule
Once you approve the quote, we lock in your date and time slot. You choose the slot that works best — early morning (7–9 AM), mid-morning (9–11 AM), afternoon (12–3 PM), or evening (4–7 PM). For urgent moves, same-day and next-day slots are often available depending on crew availability.
Step 3 — Packing (if you want it)
Packing is optional for local moves. If you want us to handle it, our crew arrives with all materials — boxes, bubble wrap, tape, stretch film — and packs everything room by room. If you prefer to pack yourself, we provide guidance on how to pack efficiently and can supply packing materials at cost.
Even if you skip full packing, our team will wrap large furniture items (sofas, beds, wardrobes) in protective blankets and stretch film to prevent scratches during transit.
Step 4 — Loading and transport
Our crew loads everything into the vehicle following a systematic order — heavy items first, fragile items last, secured with straps. For local moves, transit time is typically 1 to 3 hours depending on distance and traffic conditions.
We share the driver's contact number so you can coordinate directly if needed. For moves within the same city, you can follow the vehicle to the new location or meet the team there.
Step 5 — Unloading and placement
At the destination, our team unloads everything and places items in the rooms you specify. If you opted for the packing service, we can also unpack boxes and reassemble furniture. You verify everything before our team leaves.

- Single-item moves — just a bed, sofa, refrigerator, washing machine, or wardrobe that needs shifting to a new location
- Studio & 1 BHK — full home moves with optional packing and unpacking, typically completed in 3 to 5 hours
- 2–3 BHK apartments — the most common local move we handle, with full packing, furniture dismantling, and setup at the new home
- 4+ BHK & villas — larger moves requiring bigger crews (4–6 people), multiple vehicles, and a full day of work
- PG & bachelor shifts — quick, affordable moves for students and working professionals with minimal belongings
- Within-building moves — shifting from one floor to another or one wing to another within the same apartment complex
- Storage facility moves — moving items to or from self-storage units within the city
Local moving pricing guide
Local moves are priced based on four factors: the volume of items (how much stuff), distance within the city, vehicle type needed, and whether you want packing services. Because distances are short, pricing is significantly lower than intercity moves.
Single-item move: ₹1,500 to ₹4,000 — depends on the item size, weight, and floor access at both locations.
Studio / 1 BHK (transport only): ₹3,500 to ₹7,000 — includes loading, transport, and unloading with a 2-person crew.
1 BHK (with full packing): ₹5,000 to ₹10,000 — includes all packing materials, loading, transport, unloading, and basic setup.
2 BHK (with full packing): ₹8,000 to ₹18,000 — includes complete packing, furniture handling, dedicated vehicle, and setup.
3 BHK (with full packing): ₹15,000 to ₹28,000 — includes larger crew, multiple trips if needed, and full unpacking service.
4+ BHK / Villa: ₹25,000 to ₹45,000 — includes extended crew, multiple vehicles, and comprehensive handling of all items.
These are indicative ranges for major Indian cities. Actual pricing may vary based on specific conditions like staircase-only buildings, narrow lane access, or heavy items requiring special equipment. Your quote will be fixed and itemised — no surprises on moving day.
Vehicle types for local moves
We match the vehicle to your move size so you're not paying for space you don't need:
- Tata Ace / Mini truck — ideal for single-item moves, PG shifts, and studio apartments. Capacity: up to 750 kg.
- Tempo (Bolero pickup / 407) — suitable for 1–2 BHK moves with moderate furniture. Capacity: 1 to 2 tonnes.
- 14-foot closed container — the standard choice for 2–3 BHK moves. Fully enclosed for weather protection. Capacity: 3 to 4 tonnes.
- 17-foot / 19-foot container — for larger 3–4 BHK moves or moves with heavy furniture and appliances. Capacity: 5 to 7 tonnes.
- Multiple vehicles — for 4+ BHK homes or villas, we deploy two or more vehicles to complete the move in a single trip.

Tips for a smooth local move
- Book 3–5 days in advance — this ensures we can allocate the right vehicle and crew for your preferred time slot
- Declutter before you move — donate or discard items you no longer need. Less stuff means a faster, cheaper move.
- Inform your building management — let both your current and new building know about the move date and time, especially regarding lift reservations and parking.
- Keep essentials separate — pack a bag with documents, medications, chargers, and toiletries that you'll need immediately. Don't pack these in the moving boxes.
- Label your boxes — if you're packing yourself, label each box with the room name and a brief description of contents. This makes unloading much faster.
- Defrost your refrigerator — if you're moving a fridge, defrost it at least 12 hours before the move to avoid water leakage during transit.
Frequently asked questions about local moving
Can I get a same-day move?
Yes, for smaller moves (single items, studio, or 1 BHK), same-day service is often available depending on crew and vehicle availability. Call us or send a WhatsApp message and we'll confirm within 15 minutes.
Do I need to be present during the move?
We recommend being present or having someone you trust at both the pickup and delivery locations. This helps with directing item placement, verifying the inventory, and handling any access issues at the new location.
What if my new apartment isn't ready yet?
If there's a gap between your move-out and move-in dates, we can arrange short-term storage at our warehouse facility. Items are stored securely and insured. Storage charges are quoted separately based on volume and duration.
Do you move on Sundays and holidays?
Yes, we operate 7 days a week including Sundays and most public holidays. Weekend and holiday moves are subject to the same pricing — no surge charges.
