When you only need the hands, not the truck

Sometimes you've got everything figured out except the muscle. Maybe you've booked a truck directly through a transport company. Maybe your employer is providing a vehicle for your transfer. Maybe you're moving within the same building and just need help getting a wardrobe down three flights of stairs. That's exactly what our loading and unloading service is for.

We send a trained crew — 2, 3, 4, or more people depending on your needs — who know how to handle furniture without damaging walls, lift heavy appliances without dropping them, navigate tight staircases without scratching anything, and load a truck in the right order so nothing shifts during transit.

This is a standalone service. You don't need to book our vehicle or our packing service to use it. Just tell us what needs to be loaded or unloaded, where, and when — and we'll be there.

What our loading and unloading crew does

Loading at your pickup location

Our crew arrives at your home, office, warehouse, or storage unit and systematically loads everything into your vehicle. Heavy items go in first — refrigerators, washing machines, wardrobes — placed against the walls of the truck for stability. Medium items fill the centre. Fragile and light items go on top.

Everything is secured with straps and rope to prevent shifting during transit. If you need basic wrapping (furniture blankets for large items), our crew carries those and applies them before loading.

Unloading at your destination

At the other end, our crew (the same team or a different one at the destination city) unloads everything from the vehicle and carries it inside. Items are placed in the rooms you specify — not just dumped at the door. Furniture is positioned where you want it, and appliances are placed in their designated spots.

For multi-floor buildings without a lift, our team carries items up the stairs carefully, using protective padding on walls and door frames to prevent damage.

Within-building moves

Moving from one floor to another? Shifting from one wing to another within the same apartment complex? Rearranging heavy furniture within your home? Our crew handles all of these. No vehicle needed — just manpower and careful handling.

Why trained labour makes a real difference

Random daily-wage labour hired off the street will usually get the job done — but not always carefully. They don't know how to tilt a refrigerator without the back panel hitting the door frame. They don't know to protect your marble flooring with cardboard before dragging heavy items. They might drop a wardrobe halfway up the stairs because they didn't plan the turning radius.

Our crew is trained specifically for moving work. Here's what sets them apart:

  • Proper lifting technique — lifting from the knees, not the back. This prevents injuries and ensures stable handling of heavy items.
  • Use of equipment — moving straps, furniture dollies, hand trucks, and stair climbers for heavy and awkward items
  • Path planning — before carrying any large item, the crew checks doorways, staircases, and corridors to plan the safest route
  • Wall and floor protection — cardboard sheets on floors, foam padding on door frames, corner guards on walls at turning points
  • Furniture wrapping — corners and surfaces of furniture are wrapped in moving blankets before being carried through tight spaces
  • Loading order knowledge — understanding which items go first, how to distribute weight, and how to secure the load for safe transit

Types of items we handle

  • Heavy furniture — wardrobes (wooden and modular), beds (including king-size), dining tables, sofas, recliners, bookshelves, dressing tables
  • Large appliances — refrigerators (single and double door), washing machines, air conditioners, water purifiers, dishwashers, geysers
  • Office furniture — desks, conference tables, filing cabinets, modular workstations, server racks
  • Fragile items — glass tabletops, mirrors, artwork, chandeliers, crockery boxes (if pre-packed)
  • Commercial stock — warehouse inventory, retail store fixtures, industrial equipment, machinery (up to certain weight limits)
  • Gym and sports equipment — treadmills, exercise bikes, weight benches, pool tables, table tennis tables
  • Pianos and musical instruments — upright pianos, keyboards, drum kits (with extra care and specialised handling)

Staircase and no-lift building moves

A significant number of Indian residential buildings — especially older ones — don't have lifts, or have lifts that are too small for large furniture. Our crew is experienced in staircase moves and handles them regularly.

For staircase moves, we assess the stairwell width, turning radius at landings, and the size of items before we start. Items that can't fit through the stairwell in their assembled form are dismantled first. We use furniture sliders, moving straps, and stair climber equipment for extremely heavy items.

Staircase moves are priced with a per-flight surcharge (typically ₹150 to ₹300 per flight per heavy item), which is included in your quote upfront. There are no surprise charges on the day of the move.

Loading and unloading pricing guide

Our labour-only service is priced based on the number of crew members, duration, and any special conditions (staircases, heavy items, long carry distances). Here's a general guide:

Per person, half-day (up to 4 hours): ₹800 to ₹1,500 — suitable for small loads, single-item moves, or quick unloading jobs.

Per person, full-day (up to 8 hours): ₹1,500 to ₹3,000 — suitable for larger moves requiring sustained effort.

Typical 1 BHK load/unload (2 people, 3–4 hours): ₹2,500 to ₹4,500 total.

Typical 2 BHK load/unload (2–3 people, 4–6 hours): ₹3,500 to ₹7,500 total.

Typical 3 BHK load/unload (3–4 people, 5–7 hours): ₹6,000 to ₹12,000 total.

Office/commercial loading (4–8 people): ₹8,000 to ₹20,000+ depending on volume and complexity.

Staircase surcharge: ₹150 to ₹300 per flight per heavy item (refrigerators, wardrobes, washing machines).

All pricing is confirmed before the job starts. No hourly surprises, no hidden charges.

When this service works best

Our loading and unloading service is ideal in these situations:

  • You've booked your own rental truck — hired a vehicle through a transport company or app, and just need labour at both ends
  • Company-provided vehicle — your employer is sending a truck for your transfer, but you need help loading and unloading
  • Receiving a delivery — you've bought furniture or appliances online and need help carrying them upstairs
  • Within-building moves — shifting from one floor to another, or rearranging heavy items within your home
  • Warehouse and commercial moves — loading/unloading inventory, retail stock, or industrial equipment
  • Partial moves — just a few heavy items (a sofa, a fridge, a wardrobe) that you can't handle yourself
  • Event setup and teardown — loading and unloading event equipment, exhibition materials, or trade show booths

Equipment our crew brings

  • Moving straps — shoulder and forearm straps for lifting heavy items with proper weight distribution
  • Furniture dollies — wheeled platforms for moving heavy items across flat surfaces
  • Hand trucks — two-wheeled carts for moving stacked boxes and medium-weight items
  • Stair climber — specialised equipment for carrying extremely heavy items (200+ kg) up staircases
  • Moving blankets — thick padded blankets for wrapping furniture during carry and loading
  • Floor protectors — cardboard sheets and plastic runners to protect flooring from scratches and dirt
  • Ratchet straps — for securing items inside the vehicle to prevent shifting during transit

Frequently asked questions about loading and unloading

How many people do I need?

For a studio or 1 BHK, 2 people are usually sufficient. For a 2 BHK, 2–3 people. For a 3 BHK, 3–4 people. For larger homes or offices, 4–8 people. When you share your inventory, we recommend the right crew size — you're not paying for more people than you need.

Can I hire crew at the destination city only?

Yes. If you've handled loading yourself (or had help at the origin), you can hire our crew only for unloading at the destination. This is common for intercity moves where customers load with friends or family and need professional help at the other end.

Do you provide wrapping and packing with this service?

Basic furniture wrapping (moving blankets and stretch film for large items) is included. If you need full packing — boxes, bubble wrap, labelling — that's our separate packing service, which can be added to your booking at an additional cost.

What if the job takes longer than expected?

We quote based on estimated time. If the job runs slightly over (30–60 minutes), there's no extra charge. For significantly longer jobs (due to unforeseen complications like a broken lift or unexpected heavy items), we'll discuss and agree on any additional charges before continuing.

Can your crew help with furniture assembly?

Basic assembly and disassembly (beds, dining tables, bookshelves) is included when needed for the move. Complex modular furniture or specialised items may require additional time, which we'll discuss upfront.
